My 8 ft copper ground rod is copper plated steel. I dont know if I polish it down so it will fit my barrel if there will be any copper left. Not good huh?

deadon, Rossman40 was selling a few cooling rods. I ordered a 6' piece from MSC, but that was before Rossman started selling rods. I suggest that you stick with either solid amuminum, or solid copper. less chance of damaging your rifling. boarhog

Deadon,, and you thought you were getting a buy on a copper rod.
I'll be gearing back up on the cooling rods about March. They are 6061 alloy (best heat conducting) and the .50 has to be turned down but I also have .45 and .40 rods also.

I didn't buy the rod. It was stuck in the ground in my garden for 19 yrs holding up a coral honey suckle. Guess they make um today better than they use to. Oh never heard that one before. When you get um built please let me know. Thank you Rusty
