Yesterday made a trip into the US to do a little shopping and hopefully find some sales on sporting goods items. First stop was Gander Mountain. Was almost tempted to purchase .75hp meat grinder that will do 8lbs/min. Sale price was $250.00. Next stop was Dickes at Galleria Mall. Did buy a Gerber Folding Saw. Next was Center Gun Shop in Buffalo. Picked up a Pocket Digital Weight Scale on Sale for $30.00. Was impressed that this little guy can do up to 750grains and came with a calibration weight. Always wanted one so now I have it. If anyone has had any experience with this model would appreciate any comments good or bad. Last stop was at the “Anchor Bar” in Buffalo that has the best chicken wings anywhere I’ve been too. That meal topped off a good overall day. Ed

ET, I have one of those scales, one thing to note, it doesn't default to grains when powered up.........or at least I haven't figured out how to make it do it.
I also replaced that check weight with 55gr 22cal bullet too, just made it easier for me to make sure I was in the right weighing mode, and 55gr is close to what I usually shoot for a load.

Al
Thanks for the reply and tip of using a bullet for weight accuracy test that would fit easier in the carry case. I bought this fellow because of a few reasons. 1) I always wanted a second measure to periodically compare to my RCBS beam scale and if both say the same all should be good. 2) Out at the range I often find myself left with unwanted measured powder vials because of the wrong weight for more continuous shooting at a particular weight. Slip into the clubhouse I now can change to the required weight needed without having to drag along a clumsy beam scale.
Not sure if I did the weight calibration correctly yet because I have not run it through any tests but did it in the grain mode. Now when I turn it on it goes directly to grain mode. Plan to run some tests this weekend to confirm all is well.
