Has anyone ever had their ML II worked on by Bill Ball, Henry's son? I spoke with him on the phone last week and he seemed like an outstanding guy. I'm thinking of sending him my ML II for some work.
Thanks in advance, Benji

I had my pac nor barrel installed and stock bedded by Bill. He does excellent work, and knows all there is to know about a Savage M/L.

I cannot tell about his work with the Savage , but he recently built me a rifle from an 03' Springfield that was a thing of beauty.Internally as well as externally.First class work. The thing that impressed me most, he said if he was building for himself it would be built the same way. Sox

Henry and his son Bill built the HB customs that some of us own.The work on mine was second to none! I would trust either one of them equally with any gunsmithing task...

Bill is a member here and has been since the board began. He does very good work. I doubt there is anyone more knowledgeable about smokeless muzzleloading than he and his father. If I was in the market to have someone build me a gun his name would be at the top. Mike

I own HB LE #007 that Henry and Bill accurized and the quality of the customization is flawless. I wouldn't hesitate to have either of them do gunsmithing on any firearm that i own. I would love to have Bill build a Winchester M70 smokeless muzzleloader in .45 for me. Besides being a great guy and gunsmith, he has served our military/country as a sniper and i have no higher respect for anyone. I would love to sit and talk with him about all sorts of things. KerryB

Thanks to all who replied with nothing but good things to say about Henry and Bill! I just got off the phone with Henry and my ML II will be headed his way on Monday for a new Pac-Nor barrel, glass bedding, etc.
Regards, Benji
