I bought one of these this summer primarily to help with the weight issue with the Savage ML [heavy]. After using it this season I'm sold on it! This is the best $22.00 I've spent so far. It makes carrying your Savage a lot easier. If you're getting older and do much walking like I do plunk down the money and get one.

I got mine when they were called "boonie packers". I snug mine up pretty tight when riding back to camp on the ATV. The only drawback is if you have a thick forearm they may not work. I would like to find a pad like what was on the M60 sling, I think I have one somewhere.
