Youp50
If I do any winter shooting/hunting it is usually with a shotgun and on the go. Boy you appear to have a good blood flow to stationary sit and shoot in cold weather like this as well as enjoying being alone at times. Nothing dumb about this, as you appear to have a love and commitment to what you enjoy.
So what’s to enjoy for warmth? Coffee, Tea or some other concoction. My one hunting partner used to make up a concoction with V8, small chunks of fried onions, Tabasco sauce and a few other ingredients heated together and put into a thermos. Man when it went down it used to stick to your ribs and warm you up. We just christened it the Kick Start juice.
I see there is no shortage of snow in your neighborhood either. ;D

Ed , It sounds like if that stuck to your ribs to long it would burn threw.

Ed , It sounds like if that stuck to your ribs to long it would burn threw. No chance of that with the cold on the other side. This always accompanied us during duck season sitting inside a boat blind along a shore line with snow on the ground. When a northern wind blew and ducks flew the cold liked to permeate clothing. That concoction was one heck of a counter measure that kept you feeling warm inside and wide-awake. ;D Ed

That range looks very much like ours, except, you have footprints around yours. Noone around here is silly enough to go to the range in the temperatures we've been having.

Well, it certainly is a pretty setting but I'll stick with the heated indoor setup thanks! Richard

Richard,
There is no one at the range to take a picture of me to show how green with envy I am when I think about your range. Do you go inside when the mosquitoes come out?

No Youp! We actually prefer to shoot outside when the temps are above 50* but what the heck? Why not take advantage of what we have. Richard
