Took a big male coyote 11/24/09 while hunting for deer that evening right at dark. Shot was 89 yards.
After deer season I will try to call some in. huntingmike

I try to get out a few times a year to shoot coyotes. We use to chase um hard years ago. But it seems the recliner feels nicer on those cold Jan. Feb. nights. They're a smart animal, anybody who get close enough to shoot one has something to brag about.

I have taken them before with bow mzl and rifle. I have always been deer hunting at the time. I want to call them in. I have an electric caller that has not produced yet. The other day I bought a rabbit replica that moves to get their attention. I hope it works when I try it. I saw a predator show a few weeks back and I think I have been letting the call run to long as the guy on the show would squall a few seconds then wait. The yotes would rush in anyway.

The biggest mistake guys make is over calling and calling to LOUDLY.Yotes have superb hearing.Unless you are trying to call in gale force conditions, keep it low key to start. They can hear the tiny motor in the rigor rabbit decoy!Thats a fact, it happened to me.That yote new that rabbit was not for real!My advice to you is to master mouth blown calls.Much more effective. And if you really want to stack then up,trying snaring...
