I don't have any experience with this particular product but I do make my own washing solution using activated carbon from Tru-Carbon www.naturalpredator.com/TRUCarbon.asp mixed with baking soda and water. I do question the effectiveness of activated carbon to capture molecules after it has been saturated with water. The idea behind activated carbon as a scent catcher has to do with it's tremendous surface area per gram. Human scent among others gets caught within the small but vast amount of crevices within the carbon and stays there. The amount of carbon that you can hold in the palm of your hand has the surface area of like two football fields but this surface area eventually fills up. The captured molecules cannot be completely released from the carbon unless it is exposed to temperatures in excess of 800 degrees. The average clothes dryer is capable of 150 degrees or so. It is this fact that has me washing my clothes in carbon wash rather than buying Scent Lok type of clothing. However I am not sure that any of it is more effective than using plain old baking soda for wash and application to clothes and skin in a spray form. Doug

The way it was explained to me you have sweat which contains urea but the real killer odor wise is skin oil. Bacteria attacks the fats in the skin oil and that is the major odor producer that tells the deer your human. The silver underwear kills the bacteria and prevents the odor production. Of course you still have your head with facial hair and what hair you have left on the top of your head, since this isn't as warm as your pits bacteria growth isn't as fast. The thing to wash clothes in is a scent free anti-bacterial soap with a UV killer, much like what you would use for your body. Once washed put them in a ziplock bag until ready for use.

First off let me start by saying IMHO is it simply imposable to eliminate all the human scent you will emit while hunting. The best you can hope for is to reduce your scent molecules down so low that when deer do detect your scent they think you are far enough a way not to be considered a threat, when in actuality you are with in bow range of them.
Once upon a time long ago when I still had access to prvt prop to deer hunt, I developed a scent reduction system/routine that combined with a activated charcoal suit and certain types of commercial oder killers work extremely well to reduce my human scent to the point I no longer spooked deer with my scent.
However this was not the case indefinitely. If I were to hunt a particular stand more than three days in a row, I would notice without a doubt that the does and small bucks I allowed to pass, would become increasingly edgy the closer they came to my scent cone while I sat in my tree stand.
I feel the cause for this edgy behavior was over time I was laying down layer upon layer of scent molecules on the ground down wind from my stand position. It is the only explanation I could come up with.
Months prior to hunting any of my prvt-prop stand sites I would pre-pair my way into my stands by carefully trimming any small branches, weeds, or any type of vegetation I might brush up against and deposit my scent on. Literally 100% the only part of me that ever touched anything in or out of my stand sites were the soles of my 18" Burly rubber boots.
I was once as lucky as I will ever be when one fine Sat morning I decided to drive up to the Gander Mtn in WI about 130 miles from my home, to visit their wear house of returned catalog merchandise. I say lucky because I got there as they opened up and G-Mtn was selling everything from their catalog at tremendous savings. By tremendous I mean 75% off everything cammo, regardless if it was already marked down.
I walked out of there with three shopping carts filled to over flowing. I bought among a whole lot of other stuff seven complete sets of cammo tops and bottoms, three cammo heavily insulated Gore-tex Thisilate jackets made by 10X for Browning specifically designed for archery hunting. 15 ea mid weight duafold wool/synthetic insulated underwear tops an bottoms.
Because of this awesome once in a life time clothing bargain, combined with what i already had, I was now able to wear fresh 100% scent free hunting clothing every day for at least five days in a row. This also allowed me to air out any clothing I did wear for five days (if I wished to) to allow it to be dissented by the sun and wind.
I also bought on close out a huge amount of 100% syn sweet shirts and pants at the Dollar store. I were these while driving to and then walking to with in 100-300 yrds from my stand, then i would change into my hunting clothing. A 20* morning has a whole new meaning when your are out in it stripping down to your undies and changing.
As I use to drive past G-Mtn I use to pass a outlet mall that had a Lacrosse outlet store that sold factory seconds. The only thing wrong with these rubber boots was purely cosmetic in nature. I use to by $80 800 & 1200grm thinsilate 18" Burley's for $35-$40. I have five pare.
So investing in all this hunting clothing allowed me to go virtually almost a entire bow hunting trip without ever having to wear the same article of hunting clothing twice. It made an enormous impact in the increase of deer sitings I had while hunting.
