Do you use? I use a set, IIRC off a 116" 9pt. Since switching to this set, I don't seem to bring as many younger bucks in as I did in years past with smaller horns. Whether it is fear or the deer just do not respond as well I'm not sure.
What are you guys using and what works or doesn't for you?

I have heard that bigger racks tend to scare off the smaller bucks. If that is correct smaller racks bring in more but smaller deer and bigger racks would cause one to attract less but older deer. A tough choice perhaps.

i have used rattle bags. now i go for the ones with a deeper tone because i have heard nice size deer fight and i got what sounded closest to that. my dad used them with good success. and they are easier to transport threw the woods.

I also use a bag but as soon as their is a doe who begins to emit a smell of estrus the bucks don't seem too interested in fighting except for over a live doe. When that is the case I try to draw them in with bleats and grunts. Rattling works best for me before there are any scrapes on the ground.

I tried rattling once. The reaction I got was seeing the flashing white tails leaving. I figured they had finished eating and was waiving the dish towel at me.
