As some have seen or read I use a Wonders Optics Tactical scope on my Savage 10ML II.....loved that scope....thats right loved....it took the long shot to the happy hunting grounds up above....I think my bedded Richards Micro-fit Laminate was just too much for this 2nd generation scope. It held up fine after 150 shots with the synthetic stock sold with the gun but when I put that barrel and action on the Richards, 10 shots done.....Now that scope does have a lifetime warranty and here is where the real story begins....I mailed this scope back to Wonder Optics after talking to Matt (the owner) "no problem send it to me and I will send you a fourth generation which is built stouter to take the punishment that mean old savage can dish out"....Well that was about 2 weeks ago and as of yesterday I had still not received my replacement scope....so I called and spoke to Matt he explained that there were some mailing issues with some of the scopes sent out and that he would look into it and would mail me another next day delivery and asked that when I received or if I received the first one to mail it back ...well I received the scope this am about 10 am this morning....5 shots in about an hour and I'm dead-on at 225 ....and guess what, that first scope mailed, arrived this afternoon regular mail.....I am so satisfied with Matts commitment to customer service, the quality of his product, and his NO HASSLE lifetime warranty that I'm not going to return it to him, I'm just gonna send him the money for it...was thinking about buying another anyway, so how could I go wrong....If you would like a quality scope go to the this web site and call him yourself ;D www.sightwonders.com/wotac.html

I've been following the progress Matt has made and he is just continually making these scopes better. I keep waiting for a mil/mil FFP model to come out and the 6-20X50 target version. I think once he gets the bugs worked out they will follow.

This is a familiar story for those who like tactical scopes. Wonder scopes are economical but are in a progression of development and Matt stands by his product 100%. Would be hard to purchase a new tactical scope for less money and an owner who stands by his product to boot!

yes, matt is producing better quality imo,i am waiting for a lighted reticle(preferrably green) in moa,i love that reticle, and best of all would be a built in level inside -like the old springfield armory gov-models

The biggest drawback I seen with the early versions was the eye relief kinda sucked. Has that gotten better EB? The reticle is nice and would be will suited for a FFP but a bit fine for a 2nd plane.

i agree on the reticle, thats why in low light i would want the lighted reticle capability with that reticle, on eye relief-elkboy should answer that one as mine is on a custom .243,seems fine there imo//does make a decent target reticle. i do remeber elkboy commenting he thought the glass & adjustments knobs were better on the latest.

The knobs were a weak point on early models which Matt addressed. The one I got to play with last year was one of the early models and it seemed that when you cranked the power up you had to be right on the scope plus you had to have a good position behind the scope. Eye relief isn't that critical for medium-low recoil but when you get up to the .30 mags and the 10ML more the better. The head position thing isn't too bad if you have time to settle into position, for a quick snap shot it will cost you.
I want to buy two more scopes next year, upgrading the AR and my model 112. I have been waiting to see if Matt comes up with something new that he said was in the works last year. So I'm looking at maybe a Falcon or a Wonder on the AR. Then for the 112 I want a long range scope (20X), I fell in love with Razor HD but unless I hit the lottery that will not happen.

I think the eye relief is a bout 3 - 3.5 never really paid it no mind, have only had a couple of light touches but that was operator error. The elevation and windage adjustments feel better and i think the clarity out past 400 is better can't be 100% sure without my 2nd generation to compare it to, but It does seem to be clearer. overall this 4th gen is an improvement....we'll see if it can handle my 10MLII....if not Matt said " you just send it back to me every eight months if need be until we get one that will handle your gun....he felt like this 4th generation would handle it though....

It is tough to put a value on being able to call the head honcho and discuss problems, get a real answer and the problem solved. I do not think you can get that anywhere else. And if you ever call him do not expect a short phone call, he loves to talk about his scopes, not just his but any that he sells.

what really impressed me was the fact I called him back on Friday that my scope had not arrived and when he explained there had been a mailing issue with about half dozen scopes, and he couldn't be sure that mine was or wasn't one of them that had to be re mailed, he overnighted a new scope to me....now my first thought I hate to admit it was, this guy forgot to mail my first one and is trying to make up by overnighting one for me, nobody mails 2 scopes relying on the person to be honest and mail the other back....but you know what, I ate some crow Saturday when 2 scopes arrived by noon one mailed 5 days prior the other overnight...thats why I just bought the other....great scope and even better customer service...I got no problem giving him all my business from now on while he continues to take that kind of care of his customers...actually think a few of the guys i work with are going to give him a call after hearing my story.... ;D

Deadeye, talking about the bubble level inside the scope. The only current one being made that I know of is a Konus Pro M30, and it has blue lighting.
