Suggestions on which Dehumidifier?

My basement dehumidifier's fan just failed and I looked to every source in both the real world, including the manufacturer and on the net and can not find a replacement fan or any parts for that matter.
I already can smell the difference in my basement and feel I have no choice but to buy a replacement D-humidifier but this one only lasted 6.5 years (out of warranty by 18 months) and all my friends I have talked to all said the same thing in all their d-humidifiers only lasted about the same, and I was lucky mine lasted as long.
I run my d-humidifier 24/7 on a cycle of 3hrs on 3hrs off.
So I am asking if anyone can recommend a d-humidifier for $225 or less that will last longer than 5-6 years? Or if anyone one knows of a place to get replacement parts for a sears Kenmore d-humidifier please tell me.
