Well I got to unleash the raw power of the Parker Saf Mag yesterday morning at 8:15 cst. This little 3 point comes into the death zone munching on acorns and gets a 125 grain thunderhead/ red hot weight forward arrow thru the liver. I shot through a 1 inch diameter ironwood sapling (accidentally) before entering and exiting the deer. Recovered deer at 80 steps...plenty of blood to trail by. (You'll have to forgive Ranger...he likes to have his picture took!)

Kevin, This is my son, his 12 or 13 year old Golden (Chester), my Parker Saf Mag #175/Red Hots/125 Thunderhead, and his 10-pt. Seems like Parker Saf Mags,Red Hots/125 Thunderheads, and Goldens just go together. Steve White

Congrats to your son on a fine deer!!!! If a deer like that comes under me while I'm sitting in a tree, I may fall out!!! And Chester is a fine looking Golden Retriever. I got Ranger last Feb at 8 wks old. and I spoil him.

You just have to love the Golden's. We got our first at 8 weeks old on July 6th 08 She has adopted me and doesn't want to leave my side. At 5 weeks when we picked her out A year and a half later this is where we often find her.

Congratz on the bucks, guys. Love those goldens, mine (Sandy) is 12 years old and was quite a hunter. One of her hunting exploits 4 years ago got her hit by an auto. She does not git around too well anymore. Come to think of it neither do I. Got me thinking of a time last summer, while watch TV, glanced down the hall in the house and saw a lil cottontail bunny running thru the kitchen. Thanks, Sandy. Took, my son & I, 45 minutes to catch that darn thing. After about 30 minutes my son suggested using the shotgun. my reply was "it would look like Elmer Fud" LOL

:)Thanks. Golden Retrievers are very loving, sweet.loyal dogs. They are very good for teaching young owners about unconditional love. I tell my 23 year old son(10 when we got Chester) that Jesus's/God's love for him is similar but even more.
