This is a new one on me...I just read that a small amount of ammonia poured on the ground near your blind will draw deer like a magnet! Has anyone else heard of this before? I guess the ammonia smell is similar to urine getting "ripe". Let me know your thoughts, we may have to give this one a try. BOBinIN

my thoughts on this is that if the deer are spooky it most likely wont work cause its a strong smell, it may even drive them away. but if the deer are calm it may spike their curiosity and come to investigate.

Food items like apples, pears, corn attracts deer if an area is resupplied regular. Salt and mineral blocks are visited only occasionally by deer. I have tried some so called scents that deer can't resist but do. I doubt that except during the rut that scents representing aging urine will prove promising. Im my area deer cocain doesn't even interest them when they walk right by it. They are absolutely crazy about persommons. They visit persommon trees daily to pick up the fruit that has fallen to the ground.
