Bought a new Parker Safari Mag last week.....actually fed ex delivered it yesterday (Friday). I got sighted in last night. Took it hunting this morning and saw nothing. Went back this afternoon and took a seat at the base of a big white oak. An hour before sundown, twig snaps. Then another. Ease around and look behind me and this deer is sneaking through. I thought she busted me for a second. But she finally made it to the one shooting lane that would afford me a shot. Broadside at approx 30 yards. The 100 grain Thunderhead never slowed down through both shoulders including the heart. Deer did a 40 yard death run and piled up. A very satisfying afternoon. Thought I'd share with ya. I like these Parker bows.

that will be some good eats nice and tender next time i wouldn't shoot the shoulders though ruins to much meat back 3in and down about 3 or 4 inch i usually aim 1 or 2 inches above belly line then when they crouch after you shoot then you hit them in the heart and low lung nice job on your 1st crossbow kill kevin k

Thanks for the nice words guys. I used a Safari Mag last year and sold to fund another hobby. I regreted it. I found one at Wyvern Creations. It was a DEMO and gave me a good deal on it. It seems to prefer 125 grain BH's even when used with the weight forward type arrows.

It seems to prefer 125 grain BH's even when used with the weight forward type arrows. I have a Parker Saf Mag 175 and a Strikeforce: shoot the same arrows - Red Hots(312g not 325 as advertized) and each bow shoots better with 125g points than 100g points AND better with 145g points than 125g points. The Red Hots are already fairly fwd weighted. I shoot the same out of each bow: Red Hots with 125 Spitfires. They shoot exactly the same as they do with field points and 125g Thunderheads - this is out to >100 yds. At 81 yds with the SF, shooting at the black dots on an Elite Block tgt, using one arrow each with 125 field pt, 125 Spitfire practice blade, and a 125 Thunderhead all arrows stayed in the black out of a total of 9 shots fired. IOW's an actual <2", 9-shot group using 3 totally different points. The Parker is every bit as accurate as the SF only 44'/sec slower(339 vs 383 with the 438g arrows).
