I saw sightron SII (non big sky) scopes on sale in the latest Midsouth Shooters flyer for $117.00. Well I figured what the heck and ordered one because I figure I can always use it on my Marlin 512.
Does anyone else have one of these and how well do you like it?
Thanks, Craig

The glass doesn't quite match up to a Nikon Monarch but it is not far behind. Also a lifetime warranty that replaces the scope not repairs it. They are the best! Doug

A guy I know bought one when they first came out and put it on a .22 that he constantly carried on a ATV. Well the ATV beat it to death and he had to replace it about every year. He would just take it back to the dealer and they would give him a new one. The good thing was every time he took it back they didn't have his model so they would give him the next higher up scope. He started out with a little 32mm and after taking it back twice has like a 3.5-10X42. He wised up and got a better mount for his ATV and doesn't carry it as much on the ATV.
Your looking at a scope that is about the same class as a 3200 or a VX-I, as Doug said not quite a Nikon Monarch but much better then a Prostaff and I would say equal or better then a Buckmaster

I had one on my Knight MK85 for a year or so and gave it to my dad when his scope took a dump on him. I agree with Rossman that it compares to the Bushnell 3200 and I think more closely compares to the VX-II. IMO the VX-I was best $125 scope that $200 could buy.
For quite a while the SII 3-9x42 was considered one of the best scopes in the $200 price range. Reportedly a tough scope and able to withstand the abuse of the Savage. A steal for $117.00

I just checked Midsouth's add for that Sightron SII for $117. Would like to put one on my Ruger 1022. All I could find was a SI 3-9x40 for $117. Could you post a link for the one you ordered? Any one have one of these SI? If so does it stack up? I've got a Sightron Big Sky 3.5-10x42 and I am impressed with it.

I have 3 Sitetron 2 3X12 42mm md scopes. I have 2 x-bows(Parker 175# Saf Mag and a Strikeforce) each with this scope. These 2 x-bows are my main hunting weapons. These scopes are way ahead of ANY (read that Hawke SR) x-bow scopes and have withstood 1000's of x-bow shots. Also, one is one one of my 45 Savs, the one that shoots sabotless, so it also gets a workout. The glass is, as stated, appx like the 3200 or maybe a little better, I think better. They are tough, never a problem after long usage.

Bad news guys,
There was a misprint in the ad. It said SII, but it was supposed to say SI. I think it is a decent price for an SI, but not an outstanding price on an SII.
I probably would have kept mine, but they even sent the wrong size shirt.
