I like the Weaver Varminter reticle, if it is still the same, a fine duplex. The ballistic reticle isn't bad ether. Quality wise the ones in the past were kinda between a 3200 and a 4200, maybe closer to the 4200. The thing to check if you get it is how clear it is at full power. If it gets fuzzy over 20X and you can't adjust it out between the AO and the eyepiece call Weaver CS and whine.
If you step up to a 6-20X40 Grand Slam they are now throwing in a neat bag.
I think a sleeper in this catagory is the new Vortex Crossfires with the 30mm tubes. Vortex's 6-24X50 has a illuminated mil-dot which I do not like but the 8-32X50 has a fine duplex.

I put the Weaver Classic V-24 on my target 22lr. I looked for the one with the ballistic reticle. I've really been satisfied with it's performance. It replaced a 6-18 Leupold VXII and it is an improvement for my purposes. I would think you would be happy with one on a 25-06.
