Can anyone make some recommendations on some quality scope bases and rings that work well on the savage 10 ML 2.
I am leaning towards a picatinny rail. Steel Vs Alum. 0 MOA or 20 MOA? Not looking to break the bank but also would much rather buy once and cry once to get a quality product.
This gun is just used yearly for hunting and a bit of shooting.

This is the base I installed on my 10MLII: www.murphyprecision.com/savage-10-11-12-16-short-action-accutrigger/They've gone up $40 since getting mine nearly 15 years ago. I bedded it to the receiver since the receiver was not totally straight. Mine has Burris Signature rings. It needed off set inserts to make up for an elevation issue. Have been very happy with both.

Mine has Burris Signature rings. It needed offset inserts to makeup for an elevation issue. +1 on the Burris Signature Rings. I use them on all my SMLs. I am able to adjust them shims so that I have to use very little windage and elevation adjustment to get the scope sighted in. It is always best to keep the scope as optically centered as possible. I am shooting 70 grains of powder with a 250 gr bullet in a .45. Everything has held up good so far. The oldest ones have been on for 12 years already.
