I can answer a little part. The 26” length is plenty. Just altering powders for burn rate/pressure is adequate. The 18” twist will give you even more flexible loads vs a 20” twist. I’d choose 18 over 20. What bullets do you plan to shoot, how far and kill or hit what?

I was hoping to possibly get a 275gr 3100fps and 300gr around 2900-3000fps if possible. Idk what to truely expect, thats kinda why i decided to just pop the question.. I cannot see myself ever shooting at game more than 400-500 yds and that would be absolute MAX in furthest case senario. If that's somthing achievable. I do plan to hunt reg rifle season for elk, moose, caribou. Def going to be hunting whitetail, mule deer with this.

You just might need that 28” barrel. I’m not familiar with your proposed ignition system. The velocities are a optimistic imo; but 45 , bore sized isn’t my bag. Other, more knowledgable will chime in. A Pittman Aeromax in 300 or 325 as fast as reasonable may be your best bet at the flattest trajectory.
I a 40 cal an option? Not likely from looking at your intended game.

Id like to stick with 45 due to bullet choices. I see some of the big hammer guys pushing 3300 3500 fps outta some nasty 45 cal smokeless, but there built on bigger stronger actions that can handle alot more. But yes your correct i was kinda hoping for the velocities i mentioned. Im sure if thats possible it would be on the upper end of things.
