I ordered some of both thicknesses and shot side by side. My 45 ran better with .06. I was using Hornady 250 FTX. I didn’t add any lube to wad. I have left them loaded from early to late ML season about three months without loss of accuracy
I’ve been running this in my first 45 for three years. My new 45 I just started with .06 wads and it shot very well so I didn’t experiment further

I use the 0.060 veggie wads full formed or smooth formed. I tried dry and lubed wool wads and noticed no difference in accuracy, you need to experiment to find what your gun likes. Veggie wads were less expensive and didn't stink when you shot them lol.
