I just got done building a .40 cal smokeless. Remington 700 SA with a 29" Bruks BBL machined by Hank's Precision. I have 275 gr. Fury bullets. I'm in need of some load data. I would like to use H335 or BL-C(2) which I have a lot of. I also have 4198 and 5744, but have been told they are to fast for a .40 cal. Any loads out there ? Thanks Tom.

H-335 and BLC-2 are ball powders and are not to be used with a breechplug in fear of the the small spherical powder will fall through the flash hole and wind up next to the primer and cause very high pressure. I shoot H-4895 and also VV N-530 powder.

Agreed. But I have used it in a duplex with N110 under the H335 without a problem in a .45. However, neither the speed or accuracy I wanted was obtained.

Im testing for the right load now in a 50 with a severe ventliner and H4198 falls thru it, they are .025 and the liner hole is .035, but i was told same thing, not to use ball powder, but isn't VV110 a ball powder?

You said your barrel length but nothing else . Is this full shank or is it a barrel nut gun ?? Contour ?? What about ignition system ?? HIS or DI ?? This all matters . Is there a speed range your looking for with those 275s ?? What about other bullet weights ??
