So after harvesting several skeet loads worth of #8 shot for some pistol shot shell rounds, i filled the shells back up with #12 shot at about 1 1/4 oz. thats over 2500 itty bitty little shot. I shot a chipmunck at about 15 yds with a full choke single barrel and he literally was just gone. Erased. Some smear and fur spattered around and that was it. It was fun

Congratulations. It's better to overkill a chipmunk than to underkill a grizzly bear. Are you going to try that load on bear?

No on the bear. Around here black bears matter. Not many of them right now but you can harvest them. Would not even think of it unless my life in danger. Black bears matter. Chipmunks on the other hand don't matter. They are the most chaotic animal on earth. They chew, knaw, claw and destroy everything in sight. Never had a bear get into camp but 100's of chipmunks have. Erase them.

New chipmunk eraser unrelated to firearms. So the driveway below the house has a pile of logs needing sawing up. Been chipping (no pun intended) away at it in my spare time. The chipmunks have taken over and we see them go under our vehicles and not re-emerge. Bad chippys. Figured I needed to do something fast. Grabbed a 5 gal bucket, filled it with 2 gal of water, and put a generous amount of sunflower seeds in the water. They float for a few days and create an illusion of a solid landing area. Well, after three days, 21 chipmunks have committed suicide. 17 the 1st day and two yesterday and today. what a wonderful, effortless way to take control of the situation!. Can't shoot in my yard as I am technically in the village. I almost think I got 'em all. Loved watching them the first day taking leap after leap into their ultimate destiny. Wish I could have slow-motion video tape the action. I went down there once to clean out the defeated swimmers and found two still treading water on their last legs. Used my BBQ tongs to grab and submerge them until the bubbles came up.
Anyone have a chipmunk problem, this WORKS! I only use it on bad chippy's.

A somewhat twisted but resourceful mind at work. Must have looked like lemmings jumping over a cliff.
