What big game animal would be your first choice to hunt? Mine would be the brown bear with my Savage 10 ML. I think a 300 grain Barnes going about 2400 fps would get the job done but I'm sure Id want someone with a .375 H&H backing me up so I didn't become a pile of dung laying on the forest floor. Mike

It is a tough call Mike. After taking a Bobcat stalking a hen turkey I believe my ultimate would be to take a couger stalking a deer. Maybe it has something to do with taking a life to save one. Whatever, it for me would be a difficult situation to beat. Ben

I have too many dream hunts, I think moose would be my first, caribou would be my second, and antelope would be my third.
I would take the 10ml2 as my first choice for the moose or caribou with the 300wm as my second choice. For the antelope it would be my trusty 243 with the 300wm as a second choice.

I have always wanted to Elk hunt. Would like to do it with an outfitter over 7-10 days deep in back country. Not so much for a huge bull but to see some new turf and new animals and to live in one of those cabin tents with a woodstove and a camp cook.....and to hair test a 290 TMZ being pushed by 73 gr of H4198. My second weapon choice would be my Hoyt bow
Maybe one day.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my. Actually a cape buffalo and lion would be high on my list. Hard to do that without a passport however. ;D

I would love to go on an African Safari, and first on my list would be a Kudu! Doubt that it will ever happen, but I would love to take a hunt where you can take more than one game animal. Of course I would want to use my Triumph! And of course a Cape Buffalo would be high on my list! And there is something that intrigues me about Fallow deer...never could figure out why? Have a great day! Dave

How about this for a dream hunt, door gunner on a huey with a GE mini gun wreaking havoc on the worlds largest prairie dog town! Those that don't know me and my sense of humor will think that is probably a little sick. Those that do know me will know it is sick and therefore see the humor

R-man,
That's not sick...that's cool! I've watched MAC on the military channel do this (I think with the same..or similar gun...but not on prarie dogs!) Unreal amount of firepower.
I would take the same hunt except change the game to one of those funeral processions where all the jihad's are marching one of their dead leaders through a scummy street. You just know that every one of them is concentrated in one spot and that 6000 rpm could make a difference in the world at that point in time.
Also...a predator drone hunt for a woodchuck that I know only comes out when I'm at work. I'm sick too!

Cape Buffalo, But I waited too long, I had two hunts booked, both times the gent who was to go, cancelled, and I was foolish in not going myself Thats why I bought the Lott. If I could go now, I'd use my 50 Cal. Savage with a 350gr. Barnes X bullet. It should be able to do anything a 375 H&H can plus a little extra. But I'll settle for a Moose hunt in 2010, I'm working hard at that goal.
