Back in the day air guns were just that . I have old ones in the garage . run across them now and then when looking for something . I was able to go out back and shoot a squirrel or pestkee rabbit. But now I here they are designated a fire arm! What in the hell dose that really mean? (Will they take them too)

Air gun laws greatly depend on the state you are in. As air gun manufacturers make more and more powerful guns, we will no doubt see more restrict regs in many states.

I live in New York State.here I see Rochester you need to be outside city limits to use one. You can’t take one inside a business loaded or unloaded and being designated a firearm oops so thing is wrong here lol. No permit license needed only age over 16 to buy one. I’m guessing but no cops around now to check.

I would guess designating them as firearms means the police won't have to justify shooting someone who's brandishing one. Don't get me wrong I back the blue 100% I just believe it makes it easier on legalities
