CVA Hunter for two reasons. The Hunter has a longer barrel. I prefer the locking mechanism on a Hunter. The style of leaver on the Scout I seam to catch on everything and the gun is continually opening.

I already converted a H&R stainless steel 24" barrel back in 2011.
If I were to do one today, it would be the CVA Scout V2, all the way.
I have CVA Scout V2 chambered in .450 Bushmaster that shoots one hole groups at 100 yards all day, every day. It's perfect!

The Scout dose have an advantage of being made of stainless steel.

I went with the Scout V2 since I did not like the Hunter catch release lever.

I have the Scout, both it and the Hunter are very accurate, nice carry gun, works nice in the tree stand or the blind. Under 1 inch at 100 yards and 1.5 inch at 200 yards, have shot metal plates at 350 yards, as long as you do your part and put your time in at the range and find out what it likes.
