i have heard of a powder called N-140... i do not know if it is a new powder or anything about it to tell you the truth. i looked in my reloading manual and it said that using N-140 out of a 204 with a 32 grain v-max you can achieve 4200 fps. which is very close to factory loads. if anyone out there knows anything about this powder who makes it and most importantly where you can buy it or your opinion on this powder. thank you

I like the VV powders, clean burning and pretty consistent.

I've found the N-140, N-150, N-540, and N-550 to be excellent powders for everything from .223 to my 7-08. I make sure to keep a couple pounds of the 500 series powders on hand as they have become my go to powders when I want the best performance.

I use N140 in my 25-06 for 75 grain bullets and it has been impressive with accuracy and velocity. around 3750 from a 24 inch barrel and getting well under 1/2 inch groups.

Hornady factory loads with 32g Vmax only chrono out to be 3850fps.
We are getting about 4100fps with 29.5g of IMR 4320 pushing Moly coated 35g MatchHP Bergers. And this is just slightly compressed. COL 2.231 This is with a AR-15 platform=Tight fit in magazine. If you have a Bolt rifle, may be able to lengthen COL=more powder.
Work up slow and check for pressure signs
