New brass is expensive. $28 for 100 45 acp. For $35 you can get 100 loaded rounds from several mfr's that are reloadable. That equals $7 for 100 cases once you shoot them. Same for many pistol rounds. If you are a plinker this seems the way to go and the way I go.

I don't load pistol ammo because you have to load lots to make it worth while. If I were going to do it I'd buy ammo in bulk, shoot it and reload it just like .223 ammo: I can get IMI 77gn Razor Core for 52 cents each which I can't load 77gn new for. After the first firing it gets cheap.

You can buy NEW Starline .45acp brass for $164.50 ....... per 1,000 pieces, or 500 pieces for $94.00 www.starlinebrass.com/brass-cases/45-Auto-Brass/

There are several fired brass sellers online. How much do you need is the question. For 45 ACP Diamond K Brass has 1000 cases for $45 or 2500 cases for $106. Once Fired Brass has 250 cases for $10 to $13.
