I guess excalubur is discontinuing some of their recurve models and they are knocking alot off the prices. Last week I bought by first crossbow, which is a Excalibur Eclipse package including scope for $650. It is rated at 330 fps, and I like it.

You wont go wrong with your new Excal. I have one, and working on paying off my second one now. A little louder and wider than a compound xbow, but no string or cable to stretch or get out of time. Do your own maintenance, adjust brace height, etc. Definately reliable and repeatable accuracy. The Excal forum is loaded with info. Have fun.

Excaliburs can get addictive as are some of the aftermarket items. This is a M405, Airbrakes, entire Dr Stirrup kit, Optimizer, 2-8 Lighted Zeiss Duralyt, TT trigger, custom Flemish sting, other little mods. Have another M405, TT, TR530IL, Flemish string, a BD400, and a benchrest M380.

I test arrow configurations for various people, self included. I’m convinced there’s a serious need for advanced arrow configuration. This xbow is set up for testing arrow design for accuracy and trajectory.
