Cast and shoot hardened lead bullets in your centerfire guns? And in what calibers? Me,I use cast in all the calibers I reload for,.45 Long Colt,.30/06 Springfield, everything.Usually the heaviest bullets in the caliber I can find a mould for. In the .45 Ruger single action Blackhawk I have this means a 310 grain SWC Keith style bullet. In the .30/06 it means the Lyman #311284 bullet, though I do not waterdrop mine, and I just use regular wheelweights,no linotype or anything else added.

I used to cast for my 308, 35Rem, and 357 Mag (pistol and rifle) (got double duty out of the .357 molds) and a 45-70. Great for mild practice rounds. Haven't done that for a very long time though and can't find my lead melter.

Id like to cast for my .454 Casull but don't have a mold. Ive got several pounds of lead wheel weights and a Lee production pot. If I can find a mold at the right price I'll be in business. Mike

Mike, Does it need to be a gas check base?If not then I have a 310 grain SWC type that was a Group Buy and I can trade you some for your lead? Jeff
