Looking for a new scope for my Encore .45. Weighs in at around 10# at most. Hope to be shooting 275 gr pills at 2500fps. With all the scope failures, I'm torn on Wat to choose. Hers Wat I want; 1. 3 or 4 to Atleast 15X and no larger than 50mm 2. Fast focus parallax 3. No mils regular duplex, BDC, or MOA is fine 4. Illuminated is ok but is a must if finer cross hairs 5. No more than $1k 6. Mounted on 6 hole picatinny base With 6 hole Burris XTR
Narrowed down to a few; Zeiss HD5 but I'm hearing about lots of failures so guess It's out. Trijicon Accupoint 5-20x50. Cause I have one on my .308 Sendero and it's a Fine piece of glass. Love it!!! Nightforce SVH Burris XTR Burris Veracity Vortex PST Leupold VX6 3-18x44 Firedot. Sightron STac 2.5-17x56. But really don't want that Huge objective. Please chime in and help me out guys. Opinions are Welcomed.
Looking for feedback

Haven't looked through one, but the XTR's supposedly track extremely well, glass is subpar compared to others in it's price range, just what I've read, but it has a 34mm tube which is a plus. Not on your list but to my eyes the Super Slam's have better glass at about the same price point as the PST's. Wouldn't touch Zeiss for these kickers. Never spent any time behind the Trijicon but I thought the rheostat was pretty cool. Out of your list, I would probably opt for the SHV or XTR.

I voted for the two sub-50mm objectives because of your gun choice. I've shot a few TC Encore and I think you will have a better cheek weld with a 40-44mm scope. Consistent mount and sight alignment is far more important for me than magnification; I shot a match this weekend and never dialed above 12x even for the furthest target at 1001yds. For what you are shooting you aren't going to be shooting real far so I don't see the need for the ability to dial up on power to the extremes or the need to dial huge amounts of elevation.
Also since you don't want mil reticles that knocks out the SWFA although it would have been one of my top two choices (albeit in 42mm obj). I think Leupold is overpriced for what you get these days; they went up in price about 7% a year when I worked for a gun shop. I've had Trijicon and I like them a lot; I'd buy another in either 1.25-4x like my last, the 3-9x40mm, or 2.5-12x44mm. My other choice would be the Nightforce but again, I would get the 3.5-10x42mm. I also hear a lot of good about the Burris XTR but I've only shot one.
