It has the BDL mini chassis in it. My plan is to use this stock for a couple different barrels and use it for a SA CF as well. We will see how the mini chassis works out for SML. I am having SML withdrawals. I sold my Bad Bull modified SML. I will tell you Manners Customer service is top notch. I'll post up the complete build once I get barreled action from Cole.

I initially wanted to build a .416 but I'm heading to a Military Academy at Ft Bliss Tx from this AUG until the following June. I want to try to hunt NM and TX while I am there and NM has minimum 45 cal. I'm putting a Brux HV 1-18 on it first. I'll do the 416 or a 40 later.

Pretty sure rkrobson is out in that area and might be able to give you some insight. If not I'll feed my owl 4198 and get you some pellets

Chances to hunt is slim but pretty sure I'd be able to use it during a non specific muzzleloading hunt. Was hoping to get lucky for a tag for an Oryx on White Sands. The outdoor Rec on base holds a drawing this fall for some tags. I'm sure it will be difficult to find places to hunt in Texas

After Kash posted the 1000 yard group with his .416 Swinglock, it was very apparent that these things are very capable at 1000+... Good luck with your build!
(and yes I'm partial to the .416's and other sub-cals!)

Looks great Luke, that looks like the DBM mini chassis. I have that in my T4A . 284 Shehane. How's is the mini chassis working out? I went with the BDL Mini chassis for my T5A and using Oberdorf bottom metal.

Sweet looking stock. Curious about the weight savings......What She weigh? There's no weight savings with these stocks. You can get them with a carbon shell and drop a little weight, but I think mine weighs around 3#. the whole gun as shown is 14# if I recall correctly.

I went with the BDL Mini chassis for my T5A and using Oberdorf bottom metal. So far so good with the mini-chassis. Had some issues with my optics mounts, but initial testing looks very promising. Hoping to d some shooting in the next couple of weeks. Need to try out my new labradar that finally showed up.

Do all these fancy stocks, after a certain point, make the gun more accurate?

Do all these fancy stocks, after a certain point, make the gun more accurate? Absolutely they can make the gun more comfortable to shoot which typically means better accuracy. As far as inherent accuracy.... maybe, but probably not enough to notice in most cases.

Yeah, agree with Luke. No weight savings. I got the standard fill and didn't do the 100% carbon model. The stock feels great.

Heck ya an expensive stock will help you shoot better! Why else would they even have them? I think for the amount of stock that is there the T5a comes in at a decent weight. Definitely the most comfortable stock I've lined up behind to date.
