Saw the video clip on an area I've hunted. To me it's pretty neat and thought it might be a pretty cool scouting tool as long as you use it legally. Check this out

One of the guys that hunts with my son used a drone to scout the public land they hunted on out in Kansas. Saves a lot of walking to get a look at the land.

Don't want to "that guy" but,
Maybe I'm naive, but I can't believe that chasing/harassing those deer like that wouldn't be considered illegal in many states, unethical at the least.
These things, IMHO, will create a new level of discussion related to invasion of privacy, legal/illegal usage and safety.
Already read an article where a guy pulled out a shotgun and dropped one that was hovering over his back yard.

I'm not so sure the deer are running from the drone, it looks more like it is just following them. If you look at around the 3 minute mark the drone is about the same distance and the deer don't even know it is there. At a couple of hundred feet I don't think you can hear them...maybe if they had gas engines but not the electric ones that I have seen/heard. Now hot air balloons will just about turn a whitetail inside out edge.

The video was made by someone I don't know, but thought it was pretty neat. If I were to get one I don't plan on chasing game with it but to use it to see the area I'm hunting from a different view.
I looked into prices and the best I could see for this model was $700. My cousin has a drone but bit sure which one. I know he spent allot of money on it and he has already crashed it and ruined it so for be that's allot of money to throw out the window.
If you look on YouTube you'll see allot of videos where people have used them for deer scouting, just thought it was pretty neat.
