That's a 5 year old incident. Who's was it? Pardon me but there will always be people who don't like the Savage for what ever reason and are looking to discredit the rifle. Like many I get tired of this. How many more rifles, of different makes have had a failure like this and these folks aren't all over it.

this is just being rehashed. i know there are supposed new happenings but you dont see any thought on human error. we see in this board of people who have accidently over loaded or doubble loaded their gun and bulged the barrel, no explosion. even some have shot solid aluminum and brass ram rods.
now im not saying it cant happen, but there have been several reports of other muzzle loader that come apart and dont really get the publicity. what about center fires that have come apart? i had one do that on factory ammo. it was a fluke. granted it didnt explode but still some one could have gotten injured. these are mass produced products. unfortunatly accidents can happen. there are people that load smokeless in their BP designed ML AND I DONT RECOMEND IT!!!! i say let it be. as we see here it is a safe gun to shoot.
I hope it ends here!

I was hoping the TB and RW feud would start back up. I miss reading the adventures of Riley Weird.
