OK bare with me . I finally got my build done . I got a full form die I've sized my bullets and extremely hard starting but after I get it started about 1/2 " it pushes easy down the tube. Is this normal ?

Is your barrel coated with anything? I cerakoted my barreled action, and I got some cerakote inside my barrel. I cleaned it off the lands, and that fixed the problem

Is your barrel coated with anything? I cerakoted my barreled action, and I got some cerakote inside my barrel. I cleaned it off the lands, and that fixed the problem barrel is not coated but it does have a break I take off to load. I was wondering if the guy that threaded my barrel did something like put a centering tool in the end to thread it or what . I don't know what to do any suggestions

Often the muzzle seems to be a bit looser than the rest of the bore, yours is just the reverse it seems.

Is there anything I can do for it because its hard to shoot a bullet that is tight in barrel when you can't get it started in the barrel in the first place. Need suggestions on what to do to help my situation.

Who made the barrel was it cut rifled or button? I've built several center fire rifles that had rough spots in the bore that you could feel when pushing a cleaning rod with patch through. In the case of a rough spot I would try fire lapping the barrel. There are kits available with abrasives that are applied to the bullets before loading. David Tubbs work well in center fires but I've never tried a MZ. Here is a link to some fire lapping kits. It might be worth a try but might be totally different considering you have to shove the abrasive bullet down the entire length of the bore. Might want to hear from some of the builders as to what they think.

Are you indexing fullform bullet? Do they start better if you start on a different land ?

Any signs of burrs on the crown? Description you gave makes it sound like once the bullet clears the crown it goes easier. You can run a cotton ball around the crown to see if any filaments attach to the barrel indicating a burr.

Its a Brux barrel and yes in indexed the bullets and have tried turning bullet to different riflings. I've checked the crown and looks good.

One could have that first one half inch relieved as did TC and Savage in their early guns. I like that feature as it does aid in loading. In the alternative you could cut 1/2 inch off the muzzle, recrown it and should be good to go if the problem is only in the first 1/2 inch.

You may take a little JB bore bright and just work the muzzle and see if that helps. I've done that on new crowned bore for muzzleloaders and it help with loading sabots from being damaged when loading.

OK I've shot it about 20 times now and its loading great a least the last 3 shots did today. I dont know what happened the more i shot it the better it loads.Grouping great would post some pics but don't know how using my phone. I'am full forming bullets . load is 95 grains of 3031 pushing a 310 bullet at 2926fps .

One thing I did was bought jb Bore cleaner and I worked the "hard" spot and rest of the barrel. I focused on the spot that was hardest to load, muzzle end, and it seemed to help. JB Bore cleaner is not a lapping compound but I believe it cleaned out any left over barrel making process stuff and my barrel was smoother to load and it didn't seem to load much harder than rest of barrel.

You did give it a good cleaning before you shot it when it was new? I have seen people not clean a new gun barrel and think it was clean when they got it. I have seen some nice new rifle shot this way and to this day they do not group well at all. What should be an inch group is two or three some could be the shooter too. I have not shot them all I see is the targets. I bought one gun to make a 45ml out of that I could not get a bore brush down the barrel I had to use foaming bore cleaner. The most I do on my 50 10ML-ll is run a brush down the first 4 or 5 inches of the bore fore loading in cold weather. With new barrels I JB the hell out of them before shooting them the first time even a few rifles I have.
