Stock Savage 10MLII. SS / Camo Synthetic
First time out it shot pretty well with both 300 SST' and 250 Speer Gold Dots and 4759.
I found a lb of V N110. I want to shoot the 250 Lehighs.
42 Grains of V N110 250 Lehigh Harvester Long Black The gun was sighted in last outing
75 Yards - Miss the target 50 Yards - Miss the target load up a 250 Gold Dot - right in the Bull at 50 Another 50 with Lehigh, Miss the target 25 yards. Miss the target Bore sight at 25 yards ( it has worked for me the past 40 years ) Miss the target. Pack up and go home.
Thoughts?

Buy a sling shot... Sights/scope/bases loose? Action loose in stock?

My guess would be rather than fight it, ditch the brass and go back to the SST's. JMO

I checked all the usual suspects.
The Gold Dot hit home, thus, the system is intact.

There's a good reason why the guys with 45's don't shoot the 40cal brass bullets in sabots, it don't work. Personally I tried 40 cal brass (annealed) sabotless and it didn't shoot well. I'll stick to copper and jacketed. Good luck.

After pondering on it overnight, my guess is the bullet slips in the sabot due to the quick start with Smokeless.
I must have been shooting knuckle balls. I've never been off the target with a bore sight before.

My guess is you are blowing sabots. Knurl for a very tight fit. Drop the charge weight substantially. N110 will spike the pressure quickly and coupled with a bullet that doesn't obturate easily, a recipe for blown sabots.
4759 might be a better option with that bullet.

Lehighs or current design Bloodlines? There are some slight differences. The old Lehighs had a very sharp base radius. New Bloodlines are more rounded at the base radius and the knurling is vertical instead of angled.
I would try the 4759 instead. N110 spikes faster. Try dropping down to 38-39gr of N110 also.
Maybe try a MMP short black too.
