For you guys that smooth size bullets, do you use lube or no? I`ve been using lube (black powder gold ) to smooth size , but they`ll go through the die just fine with out lube.

I always lube or have some residual lube left in the die.

I remove the wax residue with alcohol. Has to help with consistency.

I use denatured alcohol to clean my bullets after sizing. I don't know if it helps or not, but, i figure even with wiping them off there could be some wax left on there and cause build up in the barrel. Maybe I'm over thinking this.

My die was made from a 6mm Rem. sizing die, is not adjustable and does not need lube, I think all adjustable dies need lube.

I do not use lube any more on my Parker BE bullets. They slip right through the adjustable die without any problems at all.. The match hunters might require a small amount of lube as do the Hornady bullets.. When I do use lube I choose Imperial sizing wax.. That's how I do it..

IMO, you should lube as over time you will pick up bits of copper on the steel and that will tend to gall the bullet which once started will get worse over time.
