Strange picture? I'd tried to copy my entire post on the Excal web site to Doug's : only this picture came through. So here's the short story. Very short! Shot a main frame 10-pt, legal 12-pt on Thursday evening(23 Oct,2014) with my M405 with FOC tipped Zombies. I had a corn pile 48-49 yds N of my stand to attract does, to attract bucks. Nothing like live decoys! The buck slowly walked down my 240 yd shooting lane/long food plot to the corn pile and then just stood around for 20 minutes , facing me the entire time(couldn't racist xbow). Then he started walking directly away - no good shot. He turned appx 20 degrees, crossbow already raised, safety off, and I decided on a liver shot. It worked. The hit knocked him to the ground. Got up but didn't make it even 30 yds. The FOC has a 3" cut, the 396g arrow is launched @393'/sec. Time to recovery: <5 minutes. M405/Zombies/Optimizer/WCE 1.5-4.5/FOCs : pretty good combination! Point of impact. Typical blood trail. Every 2-3 yds. At the end of trail. Kubota 3800/front end loader helps a lot. Like the ultimate 4-wheeler/UTV.

Man you just can't argue with results of that broadhead. At the end of this season, I am going to start the process of locating one to test with my setup, and if good, pick up a couple packs. Have never heard any bad press about them. Great job Steve, congrats!

Nice shooting. I have a farm tractor with pallet forks on it, also like yours it is great to move the deer and for field dressing. Perhaps we get some smarter as we get older as one member said. As a side note I saw an Aerona Champ being flown low and slow over a picked corn field today, brings back memories of over 50 years ago.

Jim, 1st flight ever was in an AC7. 65hp. My 1st plane was a '46 Taylorcraft BC12D (65 hp, no electrics). I'd fly it up to Boise from Mt Home muni day and night. When I took some of my F111F pilot friends with me, they just couldn't believe the contrast between the 2 planes. Still, it's just all flying. Bet you enjoyed the Champ also. I deer scout at least every other day in my AA-5.

sw: Now that is the way to scout deer. Two dears at one time, deer and flying. I had a little time in a T-Craft also.
