I just bought a couple bottles of BH209 today. (ouch) I gave $33 a jug for this stuff. I know it is available cheaper on mail order..But hazmat change's that... Anyway My best load for my Encore is 100 to 110 of FFG 777 with a short mmp sabot and a 250gr SW or sst. Where should I start out with BH 209. I am 2.5 to 3" high now @100 with the 110 gr of FFG. Thanks Drop

110grns by volume seems to be a really good load with T/C barrels. I would try 105 thru 115grns by volume and pick the most accurate one.

110-115gns seems to work the best in my Triumph and Ruger, both with 300gn bullets. I started out with two bottles like you. I'm on number six now Zen

I'm getting ready to buy my second jug of the high-priced stuff. I like 100 grains in my Triumph shooting 250 grain SW's, so I wouldn't overlook trying 100 as well. But of course mine likes crushed sabots. But I know how much fun, this shooting can be, try three of 100, 110 and 115...the results could be interesting and heck, I might change my mind. Good luck, Have a great day! Dave

I just got 6 jugs from Powder Valley and 2000 CCI 209m primers. Dividing up the haz mat between the eight items made them all cheaper than what I can buy it locally for.

I find that 80Gr V in my Knight T-Bolt is a very accurate load, and 80Gr.V gives 1500 FPS (Crony 10' from muzzle) with a 333 gr Hard cast LFN Boolit. ( same Bullet that Harvester sells as a 330 gr Hard Cast) 105 GrV gives me 1800+. and shoots very flat. The 80 gr V load will work and does work well for my tree stand hunting were 100 yards would be the longest shot possible. I wouldn't hesitate to shot out to 200 with the 80 gr load. for all paper punchen fun shooting 80 gr. get you more shots to the jug. ;D
