spent the afternoon scrubbing on this barrel, still is NOT perfect but is 100% better than it was first 2 photos are from breach end next 2 photos breech end zoomed up next 2 taken from barrell end zoomed up the hot water trick worked like a champ, i got the water rolling hot on the stove and commenced to scrubbng, i added some liquid soap to the water to act as a lubricant because patches were getting stuck, but once the soap got in there it was free sailing

the water was blacker then black, i poured the water through a screen hoping to find something, but nothing in the screen, so im still not sure what it was, i do know i had to reheat mt water on the stove 3 different time before i was done scrubbing oh btw that barrell is one of knights first inline rifles

I guess I was wondering if the barrel had been neglected or simply dirty from a lot of shooting?
