Apparently, N120 is available again? My local shop just called me to say they'd got 5#'s in today. However, @$40/lb I told them I would pass.

I have some N-120 on the shelf but am reluctant to do testing with it. If I put together a good load, then no body can find the powder or its too expensive, whats the use of testing? I prefer to test with powders most can get their hands on. I have always felt H-4198 can do everything that N-120 can. Richard

Things should get better with the VV powders. Nammo purchased the Vihtavuori plant in Finland the first of the year. Lapua has been the sole distributor of VV reloading powders forever and still remained when Nammo was formed (which included Lapua) in 1998 but had no control over production except thru Patria (long story). When Vihtavuori was sold to Eurenco that threw another monkey wrench into it. Since the downturn in military sales Eurenco was looking to close or sell it's operations at the Vihtavuori plant for over 3 years. Nammo decided to step in (I think with urging of the Finnish government since they own 50% of Nammo) and buy the plant to keep the operations at the plant going (Vihtavuori is a major supplier for Lapua).

Wish I could remember the year.....seems like 2002, possibly a year or two sooner. It was when Doug and Mammaflinter were still very active on the board with the old, OLD green board. Rick Bibby and others were introducing the idea of duplexing. Some were using N110 under H322 and others were using N120. I got excited about the prospects, went to a local dealer and got all three for around $50, and that was FIVE pounds total. The VV powders were then being sold in two pound containers. Granted, prices are to be expected to rise during inflation, but politics and regulations have had a big hand in the outrageous prices of all powders. Sickening.
