It turned out to be a really nice spring day, even though we still have plenty of snow and ice under it. I couldn't stand it, having a new rifle and not having shot it as yet. So I carried the supplies and rifle out back and then trudged through the snow and uneven ice to the backstop to hang a target. Although I stood in mud over my ankles on the front of the bench, I stood and sat on 2" of solid ice on the other side. The Leupold was just bore sighted so I had a couple shots to get that close. I fired it a dozen times with a max load and the supplied 300gr bullets and sabots. The trigger was slightly heavier than I prefer, but I waited until I cleaned the rifle to lighten the trigger pull. Cleaning.... EASYYYYYYYYYY. Next shoot'n day may be Sunday or Monday, depending on this stuff coming in.

200grs BP substitute.
I was shooting 3 T7 magnum pellets. I've cleaned a lot of different muzzleloaders over the past 40 years and this is by far the easiest. Two patches of Butch's BP Bore Shine and one lube. SPOTTLESS/DONE.
