Encore prohunter with a trigger job (thanks to Mcgowen45/Carlos) with 24" 45/70 barrel converted by Slufoot and a Tony Gettel stock set. Warne Maxima base and and QR rings. Just need to order a collapsible ramrod and decide on a scope. Thinking about a Leupold VX-3 3.5-10 x 40 w/ duplex reticle. taking suggestions? Would like to stick with a stainless/ silver scope and have started to realize that that limits the market on scopes. Picked up a lot of powder, bullets and sabots from Mcgowen45 and cant wait to get out and shoot. Unfortunately it will probably be awhile

That's a sweet setup! I have a pro hunter that I'm looking to do the same thing with, any advice? How do I contact Robert Slufoot Young?

Hello inrecordbookbuck, You have the Encore setup very nicely! I vote for the Leupold 3.5 - 10. I have that scope with CDS on my 26" Encore and really like it. Thanks for the pics!
Hello Jayhunter, I'll send you a PM.
GOOD SHOOTING! Slufoot

Thanks everybody!
Steve, I am very impressed with the stock set and am having him make me a muzzleloader and bull fore arm for future use. All will be 13" vented and pillared.
Robert, I want the Leupold CDS but they do not offer it in a silver scope and was hoping to stick to all silver/stainless. But thinking a matte scope may still look good with the Black onyx stock. Then again, I do not think I will ever have a shot beyond 250yds. Sent you a pm about barrel stand off studs, I would like to have my rod under but will do a collapsible, if I have to.
Again, thanks huys and hope to be back with some targets before long
Shane

I had a chance to buy a sweet set up on a 700ml and wish I would have bought it. I have about the same cash in this ($1100 without scope) but, started from scratch with a new frame and all.

That's a really nice looking set up! Went to Tony Gettel's pages. There's some beautiful stocks, and I like the way he uses pillars on the forearms to relieve forearm contact with the barrel.
