I have a shooting bud using it in a 284 and a 300wsm, he's been pretty impressed with it so far for accuracy, I'll have to ask about velocity.

Tried RL17 in the Savage 112 VLP, .25-06. 54.5gr behind the 85gr Nosler BTBT gave a speed of a little over 3500fps for five shots. Accuracy was the best I've gotten out of it so far (this was after the 100-shot "break-in") with 5/16" group. It has my attention!!

FWIW, I have shot allot of different powders out of my rifles and for some reason they all love Alliant powders. I have no explanation for this, but it has been so in cases with capcities at both ends of the spectum from the 6.5x55 to my 7mmSTW.

Doug, Great thanks for the link, used it and Allinat does recommend RL-17 for use in the 338wm, so I will give a jug a try as I have seen it F/S OTC at Cebelas.
My best performing load for my 338wm is with 75.5grns of RL-19 under a 225 Nosler Accubond, and this load will shoot superbly accurate groups.
As I felt that i simply could not improve on the accuracy of the above listed group, I seldom shoot my beloved .338wm any more. Now thanks to you Doug, I will have a reason to try something new and shoot it some more.
Again thanks, Arthur.

I have been using RL15 in my .308. The speed runs pretty close to what they claim. Shoots a nice group also. 1".
