Went out for our late season on Dec. 27th & took this 110# Doe. Usually late season's are really tough huntin Illinois late season allows any unused tag good for doe only. Shot was 259 yds with HillBill Rem/Mac "Sambo" gun,Neck shot--Dropped like a rock. This year was really bad for huntin,we had rain,a lot of wind, feezing rain, snow & deer just weren't moving. Dec. 27th was about 55 degrees with calm winds. In 8 days of hunting, I only saw 4 deer, I also took a year & a half old buck with a messed up rack. Good to have meat in the freezer! First season buck.. Dec. 27th Doe...

Thanks fella's. Weather sure has turned to crap here lately--14" of snow, wind chills of 30 below--for 2 1/2 days. Makes you wonder what the critters do when its so brutal cold.

I don't know what the critters do, but after you work out in that weather for several hours, you get sick! At least that's what I did (am)!
