Attachment DeletedI woke up at 4:30 this morning and the first thing I noticed was how bright it was outside because of the almost full moon. It was 27 degrees when I left the house and I got to my stand at daylight. I didn't see anything except a couple of squirrels until a few minutes after nine. I caught movement about 50 yards in front of me in an old grown up weedy field. I could only see him in small openings as he moved across the field. He finally stopped and all I could see was his head and neck but knowing how my Encore shot I knew if I did my part the bullet would find it's mark. I placed the crosshair of the VX-3, 3.5-10, at the base of his neck and touched the trigger. He immediately disappeared in the tall weeds, I watched and didn't see any movement so I felt confident that he was down. I went ahead and made my way out of the stand and walked over to where the yote was and found him, he never took a step. The bullet entered the base of the neck and came out the other side about the size of a silver dollar. I bought this barrel off of lttac, Thanks Travis! It's a 26" Encore Pro-Hunter that I converted, the load was 64.8 grains of H-4198, 200 SST Lt Blue Harvester and a Winchester 209. This load averaged 2784 fps and sub MOA at 100 yards. I didn't get to take any pics today, battery was dead in my camera and I had things I had to do this afternoon. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow and try to post one of them. Slufoot

Congrats and nice shooting. I need to get after some yotes also, probably never see one when thats what I'm after, but it'd sure be fun if I did.
