I am still shooting saboted in both my EncorePacnor and my SavagePacnor. The loads are as follows Encore.... 57grn H4198 harvester light blue sabot 200grn sst. Shoot then run a patch with 4evenly spaced drops of rem 40x bore cleaner Flip the patch , run it again Then use a dry patch and flip it also,,,, I do this with 2dry patches This has yielded some pretty decent groups usually moa or better. Not since I have changed the vent liner SavagePacnor The shooting and cleaning procedure are the same as the Encore The load is 61grn of H4198 with the same light blu harvester and 200grn sst Yesterday I had 6shots go in 5holes with one flier,,,,opening that group up to 1.25 @ 100yds I have read here that some are getting better accuracy by shooting several shots without cleaning, And that they just run a dry patch every so many shots. When I have tried this the following shots are very hard to load. I am headed to the range later today to try something different . Any help will be greatly appreciated. Have I been doing this all wrong all along. I have shot some good groups using this procedure. But has there been a better way discovered? I am getting ready to shoot some sabot less ....but not until spring when everything arrives and comes together. But I have tons of sabot stuff that I still want to shoot Thanks to all in advance Drop
