Does anyone have any experience with this rifle, I see where Knight has a sale on them. Which leads me to believe they weren't such a big deal? Lou

I just purchased one. You can get sabots direct from Knight. You just have to call them. 50 for $7.99. Also alot of info from Toby Bridges @ hpmuzzleloading.com.

I have a few friends that have the .52. The Ballistics are pretty impressive in my opinion. Shooting the 350gr Red Hot with 120 grains of Loose T-7 will give you around 1900fps with 3000 pounds of energy. That will put em down for sure. Keep in mind the 350gr red hot bullet Knight sells is .456-.457 in diameter, so if you play around with some different Sabots you can use .458 bullets which gives you a whole lot more options than just what Knight sells for the .52

The bullets Knight is packaging for .52 is .458 and .475. Harvester was selling .50 sabots for a .475 bullet. Basically any saboted bullet that is being shot in the .52 can be shot in a .50. I try to rub it in on any guy I see at the range with a .52 Knight.

IMO, this may be one of the biggest marketing blunders made by an ML manufacturer in recent history. No matter how you shake this, the bore is only .02 bigger then a fifty and it's no stronger then any BP gun. And like Rossman says, it shoots the same bullets a .50 is capable of. And how many .52 sabots are out there? I think less then 2. How many .52 bullets are made for bore size shooting? Never seen one but there may be...don't know.
Keep rubbing it in Rossman....there is no reason to feel bad either. It's just facts.
