You might want to consider a longer eye relief scope so your niece doesn't have your same experience and get turned off by it. Congrats, nice looking doe

The scope eye was my fault,I was in a awkward position with it,was turned half way around in my climbing stand trying to hurry and get the shot off before they disappeared.

A closeup of your face showing your scoped eye would have been a bonus!
Good guessing, good shooting!
BTW, if you don't have the time or energy to cut the whole field, just cut some "spokes" leading from your treestand. When the deer cross one, you can get ready for when they cross the next. Sometimes they also meander too long in one of the cut areas too.....BANG!!!
You have a good looking piece of property to hunt in! Get in the woods!!!

Your not the first to get scoped and definitely won't be the last. Savages do it all the time and just for kicks! Mine has bumped me but has cut two friends when they hunted with it. She's feisty I'll tell you what. Oh yeah, nice doe. I got a little guy this week and she's almost as big as he is.

I have done it 3 times and remember them like yesterday. Two were awkward and one not enough eye relief. Congrats and nice shooting.
