I dusted off the 20ga USHD, installed a DNZ mount and threw a Nikon Pro Staff 3-9x40 on it. Its been a few years since I played with it but I know it liked Lightfields and Buckhammers (currently out of both). I tried some Rem Copper Solids today and at 50yds only got a 3-3.5" group. Knowing it use to shoot Sluggers pretty good I tried some 2 3/4 High Velocity Sluggers and got a little better group. I know it does not like 3" slugs. I had problems with the Remington AccuTip's going off in the past. Seems to be a common problem with the H&R's. I like the recoil of the 2 3/4's better anyway. Anyone know how the Hornady SST slugs shoot in the H&R's? This is what the Sluggers did at 50yds, 3 shots.

Mine was a 12 Ga, sold it to my buddy for his boy to use. It did not like the Hornady ammo. Shoots Win ammo the best, either the Supreme Gold or the XP 3's. The Supreme's never expanded well at longer distances. The last couple he has shot with the XP 3s have went down like they were hit with a lightning bolt with good exit holes even at distances over 150yds. The Accu Tips also shot well out of it.

I had one just like omegas about ten years ago and I was impressed with the accuracy of it for a shot gun but I sold it only because I an use a rifle anywhere around me.
