I dropped my beloved Sony T100 bear hunting last week and she quit working, so on a new camera hunt.
Been looking at the Nikon AW100, Pentax WG-2, or maybe the Sony TX10.
Anything else you guys might point me too??

The price on the TX10 is down below $350 now. Great little camera, somewhat waterproof is a big thing, I like the small size. But with cameras it seems they get more features and more mega-pixels every year.

I am perfectly satisfied with my Panasonic DMZ-FZ10. It has a lUMIX lens and takes crisp clear pictures. It has plenty of magnification to bring objects in close. My son is a professional photographer and when he used mine he ordered one like it. Even though he had several more expensive cameras.

It all depends on what you want. A small pocket camera or a larger one with a big lens or even interchangeable lenses. If you want one that you can throw in your pocket and take to the field then one of the water resistant and "ruggedized" your already looking at are pretty good choices.
The camera on my phone beats what I had less then 10 years ago.

small pocket sized is what I'm looking for. My T100 was a great all around camera and keeps me leaning back towards Sony, just no place around here to look at things first hand.

No Wal-Mart or Sam's Club in your neck of the woods Al? Richard I checked Wallymart this morning, none of the above, but they had a few that I might look into later this weekend.
