I'm seriously considering adding a new inline to my collection. I want a hunting inline, blackpowder, and think I have it boiled down to TC's Triumph or the Omega. Now I'm stuck, both are in the same price range. Which one would you buy? Have a great day! Dave

The Omega is getting discontinued because of the Triumph. That might be a rumor? There is no comparison IMO. I will list some reasons. 1- Better recoil pad. 2- More accurate. 3- Speed Breech plug. 4- Better trigger. 5- No tools needed. 6- Lighter

+1 to what Grouse said.
For me....the only drawback is the Triumph it is not currently offered in stainless. Hope T/C changes that.

I believe somebody from T/C told me they were getting discontinued. I really dont remember and it doesnt matter. The gun has a lifetime warranty either way. The same guy told me the Triumph is the best ML they make. Strictly as a Muzzleloader is what he said. The Encore gets the nod if you want to switch barrels. The trigger on the Triumph is alot better then the Omega. T/C guarantees 3 to 3.5lbs from the factory. As far as sales, that's walmart for sure. They just sold there last Omega for $125.00 bucks the other day here in Pa. I could of bought it for $150.00 a week ago but saw no reason at all. The Triumph is superior in my opinion only. I do suggest a good eye relief scope because they are very light Muzzleloaders. The Bone collector soon to come out has even more goodies on it. Even Walmart dropped the price on the Triumphs awhile back. But nothing like the Omega's.

I will take the dark road and say I like the Omega better. It's design is about as simple as they come. Breachplug is cheap to replace and the barrel threads are also easy to clean. It feels better to my shoulders and there are many more options ie. laminiated stock, staineless. Just my thoughts. Accuracy wise they will both be shooters. I just like the Omeg's better.
Grouse- If you see anymore $150 Omegas let me know.

+1 on the Triumph. Great looking and handling gun and that Weather Shield is just the ticket. Combine that with some Blackhorn and you have as good a all weather gun as your gonna get. If I ever find one at the right price I'm going to replace my trusty Knight with one.
Saw they came out with a new "Bone Collector" edition. Looks like a new recoil absorbing stock and some other little things but it's still a Triumph at heart.

Thanks folks, I'm bargaining with a dealer right now on an older Triumph. It's been sitting there for sometime, so I'm hopeful he'll give me a good deal. By the way, how much would you expect to pay? Just a small test to know a deal when I get one! Really appreciate all the help, more comment, especially on price is appreciated! This board is great! Have a great day! Dave
