Had a stellar morning out the back window today. The NEMF .17 HMR is fine tuned and sharp as a tack.
There's a building 60 yards away that has a hole in the peak. A long pipe sticks out of it. Perfect perch for starlings looking for a nesting place. Body count is at 8. shot count is at 8.
Crows have been crazy lately. Big flocks. When the windows open...they take off. Well, I left the window open for a while early this morning and soon enough there were crows on the ground. 160 yds was #1. At the shot he took off kinda funny....flew 50 yards and came crashing back down. Well, his friends didn't like that he was on the ground flopping around. Bang...bang...bang...and one more bang and 4 more crows lay in a 50 ft circle.
That little .17 is a tack driver and a joy to snipe little pests with. Heck of a morning. No cleaning needed....the world is a slightly better place then it was a few hours ago. ;D ;D

Unfortunately I live in town and the RWS Model 48 is most effective at less than 50 yards. Crows and starlings don't know the difference ;D.

Good job Wilms ! One of my best kills was a crow with my Savage ML one day at the range. Still makes me laugh thinking about it.
